Mike Crawley is running to become the next President of the Liberal Party of Canada. After joining the Party at a young age, Mike became actively involved at all levels of the Party. Through playing an active role on local campaigns, leading the University of Western Ontario Liberals as Student Director for the Ontario Young Liberals, and acting in executive roles on various riding associations, he has come to understand the Liberal Party of Canada from the ground up. Subsequently, staff roles on Parliament Hill and in the Ontario Liberal Leader’s office gave Mike an even broader perspective.
More recently, as President of the Liberal Party of Canada (Ontario) Mike drove the Ontario wing to run modest surpluses and shifted Party staff focus to fieldwork. On the National Board as Ontario President, and subsequently, Vice-President (English), Mike advocated for a more efficient Party configuration.
Professionally, Mike has taken a start-up renewable power company to become the Canadian division of the world’s largest private power generator, deploying well over $1B in the construction and operation of wind and solar power facilities across the country.
An avid distance runner, Mike is always looking for a new personal best on his next race. Mike lives in Toronto with his wife Heather, and two daughters.
